Do you mean the XR7S ClawIt?

Notice the license plate says “Dan Gurney”.

It doesn’t appear the Detroit Digital Library has any vintage XR7-G photos though.

Yes, for some reason this site wouldn’t accept those photos of the XR7S as an attachment.

So I adjusted and cropped that one and it worked.

I also like the red/red R code - I have that car on a vintage ad titled “Lincoln-Mercury’s Zip code: CJ428”

Digging the lack of antennae on most of these pics.

Holy smokes! These are amazing! What a great collection they have. Also did a search for Mustang and found all kinds of cool stuff. Am going on a downloading spree to save some of these. Thank you for sharing the link Phillip!

Would be great to get a hold of those original transparencies and re-work the colors back to the original tones.

I experimented with that a little. It’s doable, here’s one I adjusted & cropped:

Of course it’s hard to know for sure what the exact color temperature was originally but it’s possible to bring it closer to reality.

Way ahead of you! That’s one of the coolest pics in the collection. This one was a bit faded so I ended up masking out and enhancing the red of the car a bit. Not sure how realistic it is, but here ya go.
