Complete minus carb. and distributor. This is a Cougar Boss 302 motor. It has been stored, covered in my shop for 25+ years. I purchased it for a spare motor, and have never used it. I live in the Pacific Northwest. I am asking $10,000, will not part. Heads were redone by prior owner, block was hot tanked by prior owner also. I have just stored it. No cylinder ridges. Block, heads redone, Carter fuel pump, valve covers, various brackets, bolts, crank, rods, caps, pushrods, pistons, 2 cams, rockers, windage tray, pan, gaskets, block, water pump, timing chain cover, damper, dipstick, rings, bearings, Exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, water neck…seems complete. A: DOZE 6015-B - block, 9L6 date code, # 0F5 27547 . Thank YOU!
Nice stuff. Mike Banks, is the Eliminator this came from still around?
It is my understanding, no. I bought this from a gentleman over 25 years ago, named Myrin…spelling could be off. I entered it into the Randy Ream Boss 302 registry. I bought it out of Lynnwood, Washington state. At the time, Myrin stated that the car had gone away, and this was all that was left. So, it is Verbal, not proof positive seen by me. I bought it to have as a spare boss motor for a Boss 302 Mustang, just in case I ever needed a Boss motor. Seem fairly rare, even at the time. So, since I never have needed it, I thought someone may need one for their dream, more than I.
Back about 40 years ago I was talking to a countryman at Fitz Ford wrecking. He told me he knew of a Boss 302 for sale. I didn’t ask much more then the price. I think he said $5,000. Also, about 35 years back one of the yards(long gone) on Evergreen way south of Everett had a 69 Boss 302 Eliminator. But I never saw the power train. Good luck with finding the next care taker.
