Thinking of installing the vinyl top and headliner myself on the ‘69 in the garage. What adhesive is the right/best one to use? Rattle can or should I buy a cheap sprayer gun from Harbor Freight?
If you’re just doing the one car using spray cans should be sufficient.
The factory typically brushed on adhesive for the headliner. I use 3M 1357 but there are several contact adhesives that will do the job.
You need to spray adhesive if you are installing a new vinyl top. Otherwise I can’t think of any application where you would want to spray it.
