Since my first Cougar was an Inverness Green Dan Gurney Special and we happen to be celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, I have to give the nod to Dale Melhaff’s gorgeous Cat.

How much more appropriate is it to celebrate the 1967 Mercury Cougar’s 50th Anniversary then to have Dale’s XR-7 as June’s “Ride of the Month” when it is the identical vehicle Mercury used as their ‘flagship’ in their own advertising?
