I think everyone had a good time at West Coast Classic Cougar’s open house 2016. I know I did. I got in a little later then I wanted to on Friday. It was after 3:30 in the afternoon when I got in. Portland traffic was bad, it took me over an hour to get through town in stop and cral traffic in 80 degree+ temps. My Cougar did well, no overheating issues.

I was met by an imperssive display of classic Cougars and their proud owners.

Around 5:30 we all loaded up and headed out for Dinner at Brian Aust’s home near Silverton Oregon.

Don was in the lead in this nice Tiffany Blue 67 Cougar.

This was a tric shot getting the Cougars in front as well as behind in one shot.

Don in the leed.

We all will need to stay tuned in for Andrew’s production. That is him out the sunroof in that BMW with another camera man out the window. I bet they got some awesome video and stills.

Staging at Brian’s

Cougars, Cougars, Cougars!

A few detail pictures,

Brian and his wife invited my to spend the night in his Man cave, great accommodations thanks. That provided me with the opportunity to take some great sun rise pictures. They are unedited. I thik I can realy turn up the colors in them and make something great.

After a little coffee and light breakfast I got to follow a nice Black GTE and a Inverness Green 67 GT 4 speed to WCCC.

I made a quick stop for ice and was the last one to WCCC for the day’s festivities. Here we are staging for the drive to the "World of speed Museum in Wilsonville.

Cougars in front of me, Cougars behind.

Arriving at World of Speed…

Note the logo on the wall on the left.

Bill Basore is on the left and Don Rush in the center and Mark Mohan from Hong Kong.

Here we are getting ready for our guided tour of the Museum.

Now off to the local Sonic Drive in for lunch.

With 21 Cougars we just about filled the place up. And got some great pictures.

Then it was off for a fun drive and ride on the Canby Ferry over the Willamette River.

And more great pictures.

The roads we drove on were a lot of fun, not some freeway off to someplace. Ther roads have lots of curves and hills, with a lot of great scenery.

How often does one get to see a GTE out on a country road?

Lining up for the Ferry ride.

It is a little River ferry that holes about 6 cars.

As we had 21 Cougars,1 1969 Torino and several chase and personal cars it took at least 5 crossings to get us all across. After regrouping we headed off to go back to WCCC for more fun and dinner.

This was the last picture I took. This was before dinner. I’m sure Andrew will have a lot of good pictures and may be a videos as well. Please let me know names of any people in the pictures. And if you have questions about the cars in the Museum, I have info and can add it for you. Enjoy the ride.
