I need some help. I purchased the LED dash light kit for my '68 Convertible conversion “Top Cat”. I have a couple of questions that I need help with. I’ve read in the directions that the springs need to be cut on the steel bulb sockets as shown in the direction illustration. My bulb sockets are plastic so the way I read the instructions I don’t need to cut the springs or add the o-rings, is this correct?

I didn’t have to modify anything on my son’s '68. Do the lamps not want to fit?

Bill I was just checking before I started the installation. I wanted to make sure I was reading everything correctly.
