We saw this Iconic Movie Car

My wife, son and I were in Charlotte North Carolina yesterday. We saw this Iconic Movie Car on I-85. We laughed and laughed talking about the National Lampoon Vacation movies. It even had Aunt Edna’s body tied to the top of the car.

That’s too funny. I love that movie. It has all it’s hubcaps so I guess it hasn’t been through St Louis yet. LOL

It’s amazing that even after all the modifications I can still see the Ford LTD Wagon Barris started with (maybe I’m dating myself since I saw the movie in a theater, not on cable TV).

Here’s the story of the one in your vids: http://griswoldfamilyvacations.com/maiking-the-griswold-family-truckster/

That’s awesome. I think the funniest thing I have seen on the freeway was the Oscar Meyer wiener mobile. I saw it twice. One time it passed me at 90 heading east bound on I-20 & the next time I saw it broke down heading west bound. Again on I-20. My drummer was in the car with me the first time and he always gave me crap about the wiener mobile going by me at 90. “You got your doors blown off by the wiener mobile!” I must have heard that at every rehearsal for six months.

I don’t know where he’s from but there was a guy on Power Tour years ago with a Truckster. He even had the empty dog leash hanging from the rear bumper.

Yeah Bob… I saw the movie in the theater also.

I know St. Louis is classic, “Roll 'em Up!”

I saw it in the theatre as well.

One of the best movies, ever. And yes, I saw it in the theatre too.

Rusty Griswold: Wow dad, we must have jumped that rail by like 50 yards.
Clark: Nothing to be proud of Russ…
[pauses as Rusty walks away]
Clark: [proudly] … 50 yards…
