I have a front bumper that hangs out wide to both sides. I assumed it was a less than perfect straighten/re-chrome, but a fellow 69 owner at today’s show pointed out some odd shape and width differences between my outside ‘ears’ and those on his 69 and our club president’s that was parked next to mine. He suggested it might be a reproduction, but I don’t remember ever hearing of 69 bumpers being repro’d?
As of present, that would be a negative for 69 Cougar. Hard to say what the future might be on that topic?
Check WCCC for a video about tweaking the bumpers so they match up to the body. That may be enough improvement to have it looking right.
