I too have pulled my hair out searching on WCCC before but the team there is awesome. I recently had an issue with the wrong part being shipped and the fixed it very fast. Now if you’d just disable that ‘total lifetime spend’ page so my wife doesn’t see it…
Don- keep up the excellent work by you and the crew. The information you are providing is super valuable to the Cougar hobby! No other site out there is more helpful to document Cougar specific details, like the correct driveshaft lengths, wiring harnesses, trim, brakes, and on and on. You guys rock!
Thanks to the suggestions here, I’ve changed my way of searching. Hitting the little search icon to the right of the search bar instead of hitting enter on the keyboard works like a champ. If only my wallet would agree to all of the items I put in my cart!
That’s what I’ve started doing too. I’ve exchanged a few emails with Joshua, and he is working on fixing the “search bar enter issue”.
Hey in the old days, I’d show up after calling in and being told “heck yeah, we’ve got that, come on over!” and Don would hand me a screwdriver or wrench and point me to the yard, lol.
So I’ll live with the occasional search function malady and It appears knowing a couple clicking tricks does make it better too
It WORKS!!!
Just hit enter after typing in your “item” in the window!!!
No more mouse to move!!
THANK YOU!!!
Wow. I catch myself thinking,“Why do I have to use this damn mouse! I should be able to hit enter!”. How spoiled we’ve all become. I can remember sending off and waiting for parts to arrive (remember the hey day of BMX, and the little ads that you sent in a check to get your parts? Or the early days of places like Honest Charley’s and Summit?). I now find myself sitting in front of the microwave thinking “COME ON!”.
I always have just hit enter, kind of forgot that little magnifying glass was even there! Great feedback, we would never know it was not working with some operating systems if you did not alert us. Any other hang ups?
I think the different problems and solutions work with different operating systems, browser programs and versions differently.
On my Windows 10 computers using Edge, I can just hit enter. But with my Win 7 using IE, I had to click the magnifying glass.
Don, et al, it is a great resource to not only find parts we need, but also to help to research various things.
Thank you Scott, in time my hope is that our site is considered the Wiki of all things 67-73 Cougar. What makes me know we are on the right path is when I hear from so many Mustang business owners that use our site often and say “There is nothing like it out there in the Mustang circle”. Yup… Little old WCCC out in the sticks did that!
Need to figure out a way to make those Mustang businesses pay a royalty… ;^)
We have been working on our site and have tweaked it to run faster and more efficient on the searches. If you still have frustrations we really want to hear from you but we have found this to relieve some anxiety. Let me know if it helps!
