I have seen trim on the door glass, not on the quarter glass. Trim on the quarter glass not on the door glass and mixture of both??? What would be correct for a 69 XR7 hardtop. Thanks.
The metal trim ( to retain the weatherstrip on the main / door glass itself ) is found in the 1969 model year with the bonded glass style. In 1970 the door glass was the drilled-hole style ( no big heavy pot metal ‘lugs’ to bond the glass into ) and the chrome moulding was moved to the quarter window ( along with the weather strip ).
