I pulled the 351w out of my 1970 cougar today. Found the drivers side exhaust manifold had a ear broken off. Will any manifold from the years 1969 to 1985 work?
The manifolds will work, but the designs changed nearly every year, which affects your h-pipe and exhaust fitment.

I had a welding shop fix one like that for me on a 460 truck motor in the late 90’s. He welded a section of iron pipe to the manifold and it worked perfectly. I am pretty sure he could have welded air to water using a paper clip and a cigarette lighter, so it could be a talent thing.
The 69 and 70 351W exhaust manifolds are the same casting. Date codes are the only what to tell what year then came from. If I were you I’d first see what getting the one you have fixed before replacing. If you do replace get the same casting number part and you will have no problems.
