Had to take my 69 in for paint work and am in the reassembly process. I can’t seem to get the antenna cable routed inside the car. I’m thinking I may need to remove the passenger air vent to do so but not sure how to do that. Any tips?
Fish a coat hanger from the inside to the hole in the fender. Tie a string to it. Tie the other end to the antenna cable end. Pull it through.
Yea tried that almost like the hole is too small could’t quite pull through. Does it need to come from the top of up from the bottom?
It comes from the outside to the inside. It’s super easy.
Should be but this one isn’t. I know and understand how it should work but it doesn’t.
Maybe something obvious like the old grommet still in the hole through the door pillar?
Yeah its really as easy as Royce says it is. I was thinking the old grommet may still be in the whole and that is what your fighting
No grommet. It’s double walled. The outer hole is plenty big the one the grommet fits in. The hole on the inside panel is smaller. That’s what it won’t fit through.
