He is right about one thing: the XR7 Gt is a great place to start. Nice options.
The way I look at it is that you maybe paying $5K too much for your starting place compared to a small block standard. And the FE will cost a bit to restore. But done, and XR7 Gt is going to bring almost double a small block standard. Given all that, might still be a bit rich but only because it has been disassembled.
I think it’s a decent deal if all the hard to find parts are included. The devil is in the details as they say.
GT badges? Pulleys? Manifolds? Carburetor? AC components?
The engine bay picture, shows an accelerator throttle bracket for a car with C4 transmission. That is not a C6 transmission throttle bracket. The kickdown tab is the wrong place.
