Is the Tom Monroe book still the best?
I’d say for older engines it is. I haven’t looked at the most recent revision, I still have the one from the late 70s.

That copy of Tom’s book sans the price in the bottom left corner is sitting on my desk right now, with a printing date of 1980. I’m rebuilding to stock, so it is the best source. If I was adding modern components some info might be outdated.
