Hi all.
Our next project is to try and replace the vacuum hoses. This one hose goes from the canister under the battery all the way behind the engine and into the firewall.
I’m assuming it’s to something related to the air conditioning? Or the pull away steering wheel?
Either way. If I want to replace it… what should I look for on the inside? And is it something I can get to without removing the dash?

That should be the tilt away vac line if it goes to the canister under the battery. Should be able to fish a new one in there without taking the dash out. I would maybe try getting a plastic barbed union, and see if you can hook the new one onto the old, and push the one in as you pull the old out so it gets routed in the same place under the dash. Lot’s of crap under there with the AC components.
Hopefully the hole in the firewall would be big enough to accommodate the technique I am describing.

And yeah. It’s great to have her running again. She’s my daily driver… so 10 was 10 days too long.
