Which is the correct Four-Barrel Carburetor for a '68 302?

We have a '68 XR7-G with a J code engine in it. (Original CA car, AT). We’re starting to work on getting it back together correctly and are not sure which carburetor it was originally equipped with – it’s got a FoMoCo service replacement on it right now.

Does anyone know if it should be an Autolite 4100 or 4300, and what the carb ID tag would say?

Dennis, the tag code should be C8ZF-D for a 302-4V with an automatic. I just checked Mustangtek and it lists it as an Autolite 4300. John
