Hello, I was wondering if anyone has put a 1970 hood on a 1969 cougar. I know the bumper and head light covers would have to be changed, just don’t know if the hood will fit between fenders. I found a 69 that is wrecked in the front, owner claims its a 70 as per the title but it has horizontal front grill of 69 model. Thank you for any information that you may have on this.
It will bolt on, but the grill will be in the way for closing it. You could bolt on all the 70 Grill parts. That includes the center supports that the Vacuum actuator for the head light doors bolt to. If you have a good 70 hood you may be able to trade it for a 69 hood.
