I have a 68 std cougar. How do I find out what type of wheel covers that would have come on it. The Marti report does not make mention of wheel covers just wide oval white walls. Currently it has wire wheel covers with the red mercury man. Any help would be appreciated.
If there is nothing noted on the Marti report about the wheel covers then your car would have left the factory with the standard style covers. I would suggest that you look for a 1968 Cougar dealer showroom brochure. Most of them will show the standard equipment and the optional equipment. You should be able to pick up a showroom brochure for not a lot of money.

Perhaps other members with 1968 Cougars can indicate which style of wheel cover is found on their model.
Thanks for the information. You guys are awesome.
Duh, forgot that I already have the dealers brochure. With the decor group it came with the deluxe wheel covers. Wire wheel covers were optional. Nor sure about the center medallion, thought it was only a black center. Mine has the red mercury man.
