Wiring in trunk

Curious what this is. Updated the car with solid state modules last year

Looks to be some sort of a circuit breaker. Where do the two lines go to? Might be a clue right there…

I didn’t dig into it yet.in the middle of a full restoration so too many other things to focus on.
I happened to see it this evening and was curious What is was for.
It does look like a stock item though.

Yes it does. Do you have an extendable motorized antenna, by any chance?

That is a 5 amp circuit breaker powered from the headlight switch and powers the license plate lights and in parallel thru a resistive wire to the 6 taillights. The taillights are dual filament bulbs, the low filament bulb is for the taillights (when the headlights are on) and the high filament is used for the sequentials as well as the brake lights. The low filament is powered from the headlight switch and has absolutely nothing to do with the sequential motor in the trunk.
