The factory set is the best you will find. They are crap and ruin the paint on the door edge. Why would you want to do this?
The door edge guards and AM/ 8 track stereo tape player are for the unicorn. That equipment is listed on the Marti Report as having been installed at the factory but those parts are not with the car now. I agree that the door edge guards do more harm than good so, I don’t intend to install them; and the car currently has a decent SONY (aftermarket) sound system in it which I will leave as long as I own and drive the car. However, I want all the original equipment that would render the car “as built” for possible thorough/accurate restoration at some point in future.

I wrote the story about your car. What an incredible piece of Ford history. I absolutely agree that is one to make whole if possible.
