XR7G fog light wiring harness

I am restoring my XR7G. During this process, I found a cut wire in my fog light harness. It doesn’t seem to effect anything as the fog lights work. I am guessing that it is a ground. I have attached a diagram of the wiring harness and have circled the portion that is missing. Does anyone know what this wire is for?

I think that is the ground.

Any chance you could look at one of your cars and see what it is? It would be on the driver’s side.

Many of the Gs have a mystery wire around that area. I have found that when you turn on the fog lights at the fog light switch, that the marker lights come on, but at a dimmer state. I have had this on two of the three Gs I have owned. The other one, I don’t recall. I did not own it for a very long time.
