Hi community I have read the posts. I would like some information on rebuilding my original York compressor. The price is very high for the company in Florida.I am in the middle of a restoration so budget is always a concern, maybe some more how to information.
Gasket kits are available from a variety of sources, I see them on eBay for about $20. If the valve plate, clutch or crankshaft are damaged, it’s generally more economical to purchase a new unit. The Four Seasons 58022 is quite reasonable.
I replaced the front shaft seal on one. It was very easy to do. No more leak.
Is yours leaking or do your gages show it isn’t generating enough pressure from low to high side?
