Finally getting around to starting a thread on my car. I received it in September 2025. Most of you are probably already familiar with the car as it was previously listed on BAT. Car has some serious documentation and the car is amazing shape for a 37 year old restoration by Kevin Marti.
I have put just under 400 miles on it since I bought it. Brought the car out to Michael’s shop in January to show it to some of the members of the Southeast Cougar Club. He will be doing any future work to the car as he has done an amazing job restoring the interior on my M-code car.
So glad it went to this great home. Under 60K original miles. Crazy documentation all the way back to new, and so happy to keep these cars as original as possible. Only Cougar I ever owned (of the 13 total) that still had the original paint markings on the leaf springs.
My goal was always to have them leave better than I received them. Hope I didn’t disappoint.
Car is fantastic! Tracking down all those date correct parts and fixing all the small odds and ends to clean it up is some major detail work. Thanks Joe!
We went to a local car meet last Saturday and hit 428 miles driven since I bought it last year. I feel like I am going to cross over the 60k mark very soon. My understanding is that it only had 50k on it in 1989/90 when it was restored.
Going out to another meet tomorrow morning about an hour away. I am really enjoying bringing the car out and spreading the Cougar story to new people.
Way to go Jeremy. It is documented that the car indeed had only 50K miles when restored in 89-90. Crazy low mileage and original. So happy you are enjoying it.
