This is the thread for the '70 Eliminator production numbers project. I’ve removed the '70 data from the “Looking for Elite Marti Reports” thread because I think it will be easier for folks if the data has its own thread.
If you have an Elite Marti Report for your Cougar Eliminator please consider sharing the production breakdown information so that we can better populate the database. Feel free to post your information here, or in the “Looking for Elite Marti Reports” thread, or PM me, or email me directly at mbanks -at- nikon -dotcom. If you are concerned about your VIN number you can leave it out or block it out of your picture.
If you want to submit the data from your Deluxe Marti Report, that is fine too - it gives us numbers to compare with, and can act as a “sanity check” for the Eliminator data.

Great Thread Mike. I will have to look thru my records to see if I can add some #s for you. Very interesting to see that my 1970 428CJ 4 speed Comp blue Elim project is one of just 54 made in that color. Then if you break down by interior color, it would be even less, and by options even fewer, eventually getting to a 1 of 1 hopefully. This is sort of like building your own Elite Marti Report, with out the cost. LOL
Yeah, sort of like building your own Elite report. But I’m trying not to step on Mr. Marti’s toes, so I’m trying to keep it limited to engine / color / interior, with a splash of “Drag Pak” and “Ram Air”, and a hint of “Sunroof”
I still think the Elite Marti reports are a very cool piece, being framed and all. I would definitely love to have one hanging on the wall, or to take to various shows. For now though I have more important things to spend the money on
Updated stats for 351 Auto & Manual Eliminators in Competition Blue. Have almost all Competition Blue paint data now, except for 351 manual trans (3spd/4spd) breakdown.
Also did some math on the Comp Gold Boss 302’s with Black Decor Interior. Yay math!
BTW ~ I sent an email to Marti Autoworks today inquiring about an estimated cost for complete paint color / interior / eng / trans breakdown. I was told to resubmit my request when they reopen the Research option in August / Fall 2014.
247 CJ eliminators

**I had previously recorded that the 247 CJ cars were split by 150 w/auto and 97 w/4spd. BUT…I cannot find supporting documents. And I believe this is where the error stems from:
182(cj+scj w/4spd) - 97(cj w/4spd) = 85(scj w/4spd)
127(scj) - 112(scj+ramair) = 15(scj+non-ramair)
85(scj w/4spd) - 70(scj w/4spd+ramair) = 15 scj,4spd,non-ramair… which we “know” is wrong, based on Joe’s SCJ non-ram air AUTO car.
I think that somewhere in the previous numbers chain the 42 scj+ramair+auto cars were taken as “42 scj+auto” (i.e. ram air left out of the equation). We ended up with…
192(cj+scj+auto) - 42(scj+ramair+auto) = 150(cj+auto) <— incorrect comparison of data
Ok, very convoluted, I know… I’ve tried to seperate out the info so that in the future my path can be followed somewhat accurately. Hopefully folks will not confuse the numbers.
I have updated the '70 Production Numbers for 428cj/scj to reflect these changes.

Elite Marti specifies 102 sunroof Eliminators, and that “100 came with a 351-4V Engine. They were all Hertz Cars.”
That implies that the other 2 are non-351 cars (i.e. either boss 302 or 428cj).
