I may be in over my head. First issue is turn signal switch, Ignition switch, and key cylinder. The black wire was broke off by bottom block of turn signal, and on another one I have for another car it was broke off exactly the same, coincidence? Second issue key turned VERY hard. One squirt of WD 40 took care of it instantly, it was the semi circle brass linkage piece. You cannot get at this from the top, but if ya took off the tube trim piece and follow up the rod to the ignition switch you may get it, you will know it instantly.
Now to put on a new ignition switch which I have to lengthen to fit a 70. Merry Christmas.
I bought the turn signal switch a while ago and have misplaced the wiring diagram. I remember reading it and it was Black on black, red on red, DUH. Well, the greens are hard to figure out. Does anybody have a diagram for Shee-Mar SM37F switch? Thank you and Happy New Year.
There is another post that covers this as well. Replace your 1970 Ignition Switch for under $20 - #13 by fathead429
