Bumping again. This is still a very useful information. I’m finally set up to use the switch I bought in 2019. The $15.95 switch is now $34.99 but still available. Either Duralast LS406 or Standard (from O’Reilly) US67. They show it fitting a 71 or 72 Cougar.
Contrary to some of the pictures the LS406 has a shorter pigtail but still plenty to splice on the ‘70 connector for the added length.
