69 Hardtop, parting out

Let me know what you need
I’m near Lansing, MI

Friendly advice assuming you just don’t know, but parting out a car requires documentation of what is actually useful. It it a rusted hulk? Is it a garage queen with no motor preserved for 30 years? Is there a part on this thing I would actually be able to use?

give me a few weeks ( months) I’m working on a complete list of parts with descriptions and photographs and prices. Or if you would rather just let me know what parts you might be looking for then I can help you out and focus on those parts for you. The car is complete, stored inside, the rusty parts are listed, headliner is trash, carpet not so good, most everything else is usable. Original car original parts, no modifications. THANKS

Sorry for no description, I also listed this as car for sale with a little better description

Going to need some pictures and prices to keep the listing. You look like a scammer right now

69/70 Driver side Door shell, good condition. $550

I took these pics a couple days ago for a guy who was asking about the drivers door. I stripped the paint down to metal. The spots you see are not low spots or dings its just where I missed some spots with the scraper. It has not been sanded. Very solid, surface rust on the bottom lip but not deep. Its been rustproofed as you can see (yellow plugs) and rustproofing material. I would leave the latch mechanism but keeping the glass and other hardware, interior panel, etc. Make an offer. I’ll keep posting part pics, car pics as I get time,

69 bumpers: rear has a dent. Front is straight no damage. Both are rusty and peeling chrome. make an offer…

That’s a special intact door and very much worth the asking price. Trick is shipping to me in north Texas. PM me to work out details, but I would love that part.

Be sure to get photos of the interior side of the door to make sure it hasn’t been cut for speakers. I’ve had several hacked up, ruining to me what would have been a nice door.

I hadn’t thought of that, thanks for the suggestion. I’ll take the panels off and check it out & include pics. To be clear, you’re saying people cut the steel to make room for bigger speakers…? ugh

I’ll try to get shipping info. What comes to mind believe it or not is Fastenal, they sell nuts and bolts fasteners but I found out a few years ago that they ship stuff for people…I bought an entire interior for a 65 Dodge, front and rear seats, interior panels, etc. Fastenal shipped all of it from WA. state to Mich. It was the best way I found to ship that stuff. The key is to protect it during shipping so I would build a pallet / crate and good padding, etc. It can be done. I would suggest, for now, give me a few days to get the door prepped for shipping, I’ll see if I can get shipping info. You can find out if there’s a “Fastenal” store near you. I understand no firm commitment at this point but let me know if you need any more pics of the drivers door. The passenger door has bondo filled dent, thats why I stripped the drivers door, to see whats under the paint…

Fastenal fulfilment center just down the road from me. 501 Burk Hawkins St, Midlothian, TX 76065.

I can live with interior damage. Mine was hit hard and very poorly repaired on top of having the interior shell hacked apart to change out a power window motor, so I am most concerned about what looks like a clean exterior door skin.
