Barrett-Jackson, here I come in more ways.....

Plane fare is purchased, so I know I’ll be there. I just submitted my 67, XR-7, GT, 4 speed car for consideration of consignment. Some of my buddies were at SEMA last week in Vegas. They ran into Steve Davis in the lobby of the Hilton. They told him what I had (the above captioned car) and he said, " I used to have a car like that! I want that car"

We’ll see how it goes.

Hooo Boy! Party is ON!

Oh BTW, I just told an ex-Ford employee that retired down here about your car. He may be calling you…

I’ve been kicking around the ideas of attending this year, but have made no final plans yet.

Brian Carpenter

Keep us posted Ray.

I can’t wait to see what they give you or offer you for a time slot. I predict a Friday afternoon slot at the worst…That would be very nice. A Saturday early might not be too much to ask either. It is a lot more unusual and rare for their Saturdays than a lot of cars I saw go through over the years.

I hope she hits a Home Run! Congrats on your cajones

I just got a call back from one of their peeps. Apparently, I’m in. They will be contacting me with regard to a lot number. I told them I’ll be their Thrusday thru Sunday (early) and I wanna be on site when it crosses. We’ll see!

Brian. Come along. You can stay with us. We’ll be taking over a really nice place on Red Mountain Trail in Foutain Hills, AZ for the week. The place has a stocked 'fridge and a pool. I have a posse of about 8-10 guys right now. It’s sorta like a bachelor party atmosphere. It really breaks up a Michigan winter.

Sounds like a party Ray. Good luck with the car. What do you think it will fetch?

The Best Possible '67 Cougar that Man could buy…

Go Get 'em, Ray! Did I mention that I’m very excited for you!??

That’s a great sign that they already got back to you! I’d work 'em over and insist on a Friday or Saturday spot…afternoon or evening especially…I think it is a perfect Friday Prime-time Car. The sale of last year’s GT-E will be a perfect set-up for them to promote your Rare '67 Cat. It is the best you could buy in '67. That means something…

I wanna be your “detail Man” Thanks for the offer, Ray. That is really nice of you. I’ll have to split time with my Buddy Mike, as we might be going together to sell his Original Bronco… It will be SO much more fun going with less stress this year (and hopefully without a darned cold!)

Brian,

It’s Gin and Tonic if I remember properly, isn’t it?

Haha…well, lately I am into White Russians (Dude abides)…I’m like a Carp, I’ll take anything. Don’t buy anything special for me. Especially not well aged Rye Whisky or Boubons on Ice. That is a vice I need to get control of

Dang, is it January yet?

Go for the 16 year Lagavulin! So good

Oh and that car is gorgeous. I’m especially in love with the wheels. That’s exactly how a Cougar should look, I think.

If I win the powerball, I’ll be there and bidding.

You’ll never get the money if you don’t put on period-correct Redline/WSW tires, Ray. BFGs gotta go

I think it would look a little too Christmas-like with redlines…

I got my plane tickets purchased and I will be tagging along with Ray and his posse. I’ve never been before, so this should be a good time. Ray set us up with an awsome place to stay on red mountain trail. The owner that is letting us use the house, also said we don’t need a rental car as we can use one of his vehicles for transportation.

Very cool Ray! Sold, Sold, SOLD!!!

Note to self:
Change locks on house. Check.
Hide cars in same place as women and children. Check.
Hide liquor in better place than women, children and cars. Check.

Man, some guy’s have all the luck. Smart thinkin Bill, it sounds like you’ve dealt with Michiganians before. (you always hide liquor)

I will be there again this year. Not buying or selling just a good excuse to dump the winter weather for a few days.
