I know I am missing a bunch.
One of the stupid decisions in my Air Force life. The engine in the Ventura had just blown up and I was sick of these used cars.
So I wasted 2 grand down on a Yugo and paid twice the going price for it.
What I should have done is spent the money on the built out 400 that a local speed shop was going to drop in for me.
I had the Ventura up to 150 before, I can only imagine what I could have done with the new motor.
BTW: Look a bit lower down… I did buy a Hyundai later. (not a bad car, just the seats were uncomfortable)
One of the most fun cars I ever owned was the '73 Spitfire. It had the engine and 5 speed out of a 240Z and flew.
Had a tire blowout doing 80 and slid sideways for 100 feet. Replaced tire and drove for another year before the clutch cylinder starting going out and I sold it.

I don’t wheel and deal much and I tend to hang on to stuff a LONG time.
I tend to keep stuff forever. The two I really should have held on to were the '79 Camaro (just for the old 327), and the Sport Satellite. I will probably be buried in the Cougar or the Thunderchicken. Those two were surprise gifts.
Started at age 16 with a 67 A-code standard Cougar. After that rusted away, I bought an
81 Capri. Sold that to buy a
78 Cobra II. Still have that (but plan to sell it soon), but I needed something cheap for law school so I bought an
81 Chevette. I really loved that car but it got smashed one night by a drunk neighbor, so my dad gave me a
79 Mustang. I painted it blue and drove it for a few years, but eventually I traded it for another
78 Mustang. This was a coupe that I was going to use for parts to fix the Cobra, but I ended up making it into a convertible and sold it to a soldier. In the meantime, since I was now married and needed something more reliable, we bought a
92 Lincoln Continental. Great car but the air suspension blew out so we traded it for something newer, a
98 Lincoln Continental. This was a REALLY GREAT car but we now had kids so we traded it in for something bigger, a
98 Lincoln Navigator. This thing was HUGE and sucked too much gas and we really didn’t need 4wd so we traded it for a
2004 Mercury Monterey minivan, which we still have. In the meantime, I bought my beloved
68 Cougar XR7, which I have made into a convertible, driven over 70,000 miles, and never plan to sell.
Love the progression, from the lowliest 67 std you worked your way up the food chain to the best in perfect order, all you need now is the GTE for #23!
