Disc brake conversion

Hello,
My son and I are working on a 69 that has manual drums. I don’t feel to confortable letting him drive around in the car until we getting it stopping better. I would like some advice on where to get a power disc conversion kit, so we can change it over. He is on a budget with limited funds, but I am willing to let him work some of it off in sweat. Any help or advice you have is greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is the best option:

I did a conversion manual front drums to factory power discs on my first 70 Cougar in the late seventies. I was well pleased with the results. At that time I was able to get all of the parts needed from a Mustang in a junk yard. My current 70 Cougar came from the factory with power discs. I’ve rebuilt virtually every part and they provide good stopping power.

I too used CSRP, but did the 4-piston caliper conversion from manual drum to power disc. Good luck!
