wondering is a 427 SO cast date 8B13 correct for a GT-E?

If it is a hydraulic lifter block, I would think so.

Since the Dearborn Engine Plant (DEP) is where the engine would have been assembled, and the cars were assembled at the Dearborn Rouge Plant, it’s barely possible for a car built February 23. More likely for a car built after March 1, 1968. But if it was the best one I could find I would use it regardless of the date…
