ISO C7OF-F/G or C8OF-D/J Distributor

ISO C7OF-F/G or C8OF-D/J Distributor. Please let me know what you have. Need April 68 or prior date code. Thank you.

There is a newly listed C8OF -J dist. On E-bay. NOS

Can’t find it. Got a link?

Wow, already ended with one bid of $515. It was service dated 9F20

I appreciate it. Still looking.

Found one, thank you for all of the help.

Has it ever been clearly determined which distributor is correct for a 427 GTE?

As odd as it seems, the 7A date has been seen on 68-1/2s. I think one example belonged to Scott Fuller, and it sticks in my mind another was an original owner example in Utah. I passed on one years ago, at a cheap price, because the date seemed impossible to me. Something odd was going on with the C6 distributors in 68-1/2, as evidenced by the oddly dated C7OF-Fs, the C8OF-Ds with a single vacuum advance, and the correct-for-'69 C8OF-Js all being seen on 68-1/2s.

I’m thinking of keeping this distributor now because of what you said. I currently have a C8OF-J in my car with an 8F21 date that came out of a July 25th. CJ Cougar automatic. My build date is May 7th so it’s obviously late. Anyone else have thoughts?

I wouldn’t hesitate to put that distributor in a May 7 build 68-1/2. I’m pretty sure that my recollection is correct, but if you wanted further confirmation you might want to PM Scott Fuller and confirm the date in his car…I don’t recall if it was a KR or a 68-1/2 GT.

I’ve decided to keep this distributor. I will leave this thread and lock it for the information that is provided here. Perhaps this information can be added to the distributor section? Scott or Chris, you can PM me with your thoughts.
