Leaf Spring Sliders

I’m wondering if anyone else has tried these sliders.

Better have excellent bump stops.

So you’ve tried them?

I have not tried them but have the impression they are more common in drag race setups. Goal is to have no binding or restriction on leaf spring movement. In general they will make some noise when going over bumps.

Are you drag racing this vehicle? Sliders are noisy on street driven vehicles. I have caltracs on my car and they are plenty noisy.

No. This is something I have seen on drag racers. It makes the rear squat more than conventional shackles. That lets the differential hit the bump stop before winding the axle up as much making it easier on the pinion. Or at least that is my understanding of what it is supposed to do.

Here is a video I had checked out while researching my caltracs. Total focus on drag racing. Not affiliated but seems very knowledgeable from what I could tell. Should give more insight into the pros and cons.

What noise are you experiencing with your cal track set up ?

Metal on metal rattle between top of leaf springs and cal trac pivot. You can alleviate the noise by wrapping the pivot in rubber
