With luck, we will know a lot more in a few weeks. I talked with Rich by phone on Sunday and will be going out to meet with him soon. I will look at whatever he has and pass the information to Bill for the article. So as not to steal thunder from the article, I have worn myself to secrecy otherwise. For those who can’t wait for the article, I can be bought but it will probably take a GT-E to get the job done!
He mentioned the prototype photo to me when we talked, so I will see if he can show it to me. I don’t think he’s willing to share it, though.
See you at Carlisle, Randy!
He does have the pictures at Dearborn of a lime frost green Cougar he said was taken before production. I recognized the buildings as well, so that is legit. Rich was at the 2011 Cougar nations as well (without his Cougar). I had a couple of chairs setup in the shade and offered them to him and his wife and they took me up on the offer. We talked for a while about my XR7-G and asked if I knew Virgil Brown (I met Virgil and his XR7-G once). He said him and Virgil cruise to a lot of car events when Virgil was alive. He said “I have a photo album with me”, and he return and we went through the album together. Many pictures of his Cougar with Virgil XR7-G. Also in the album were the pictures he said were taken at Dearborn before the Cougar production began.

We are having some issues with Safari and Chrome. For the moment Fare Fox and Explorer are the recommended browsers. We think we have a fix for Safari and Chrome and we are testing now. Thanks to Dave Isho for helping us run this down!
Bill (and Rich if your schedule allows tuning in to Cougar stuff) – I was out in the shop this evening when I was able to pull up on the computer the inaugural issue of LCM. In honor of the occasion I took the cover off of Cougar 1 so that the he (yes Cougar 1 is a he !) could check out his celebrity status. Upon seeing the issue online Cougar 1 gave a headlight door blink and a full rotation of the sequential turn signals as a sign of approval, and I thought you guys needed to know how appreciative he is of the excellent work that went in to his feature
Did a quick browes of the mag this morning Bill. Looks great guys! with with some interesting Cougar reading. Only complaint so far is the zoom function doesn’t have enough zoom to it.
I was able to use the zoom well enough but it was a little “clunky”. Definitely need the zoom to make it readable and then you have to slide around the page to read the different parts of the page.
Thanks guys, In the next issue we will bump up the size of the text. We have to strike a compromise between big enough for online and not making the print version look like a large print book. We don’t like scrolling either.
one big hint, and a PC press the F11 key for full screen and it will enlarge to fit the screen. I would imagine that Mac has a similar function.
