Legendary Cougar Magazine begins... NOW!

Start checking your mail boxes tomorrow! The sort went well but it took 4 hours to complete. The benefit of presort is that this speeds up deliver times by at least a day.

I still can’t order online… need a Password (?) Where do I get one ?

The password is something that you make up. You will use that and your user name (everything in front of the @ sing in your email address) to log in to the site to either read the online version or to make changes to your account.

Got mine on Saturday. I do have to say…i really liked it. Glad i subscribed for the hard copy. Can’t wait for the next one!

It’s in my hands and it’s a beaut! Many thanks and congratulations for a job exceedingly well done!

Got mine today at the office. Not much work getting done.

Its great to hear that the print copies are finally getting out there. The Post Office is coming to my office today to audit everything we have done with issue 1 to see if we can move from pending status to granted status on the Periodical Mailing permit. Once we are granted, then we can start to use some of the automation steps like bar codes to speed up delivery. Issue two is underway.

You can still subscribe and get issue one or you can order it as a single print issue if you would like. I have about 20 copies on hand right now.

West Coast Classic Cougar and Critter Creek Cougar Restoration in Canada will also be selling copies.

It is also now available on Amazon in Great Britain and also continental Europe. This might save some money since they are printing those copies locally, particularly if you order other things to get free shipping.

Got mine today. Sat down immediately and read it from cover to cover. Great job!

I received mine today also. Definitely a keeper!

I received my copy tonight. It looks much better in person than the online version, and I was very pleased with the way the online version looked.

I would certainly be interested in an annual hard bound version of all issues if the magazine continues on the same path.

Amazing job, and I’m looking forward to the next issue.

Got mine yesterday (and the calendar, thanks WCCC!). The square bound spine is cool, the shiny covers are really nice (and the rear cover photo very cool!). One question I had (and it is not a criticism), the inner pages (which seem to be a heavier gauge than regular magazine pages, again, cool) are flat rather than the (very thin) glossy sort of “regular” mag’s. Bill, just wondering if you have any comments on the inner pages, etc. vs. “regular” magazines like MMF for instance. I think overall this is a much nicer “built” magazine and will probably stand the test of time better than a “regular” magazine but was wondering about the differences.

Again, great job and hats off to you and Rich!

This is print-on-demand (think very large very very fast ink jet printer) so the paper has to be able to absorb the ink very rapidly, from both sides, without ripples. Coated paper, (gloss), can’t do that. From what I have learned, the big technological advance that makes it possible to get the per page cost down from the $0.50 it used to cost is the paper. If we are able to get bigger, we might be able to get on a regular press run and that would allow us to use glossy paper. So far we have printed less than 400 copies. A regular style print run is in the thousands.

In the magazine publishing world, the paper we are using now is actually considered to be the premium stuff and glossy the less stylish. Rich, preferred the matte finish even for the cover. I have had other comments also requesting the glossy paper so we will be exploring that in the future.

Just received my Amazon produced version. Much prefer the print version than the online version. Being filed in a safe place - next to Legendary Ford magazines

Thanks Bill et al, for your fine efforts

Mine got here yesterday too. It looks great. I’m already thinking of the next volume and trying to see if it will be here by 8/1 so I can bring it on vacation with me.

I received mine today. Very good quality, nice layouts and easy to read. I just love it!

I GOT MINE YESTERDAY TOO, AND READ FROM COVER TO COVER LAST NIGHT. GREAT JOB AND EXCELLANT QUALITY.
NO CALENDER THOUGH.

There were only 50 calendars, and you had to use the coupon code to get one. Basically, you had to act really fast. Mike you were number 83. By then the coupon code wouldn’t have worked any more.

I got mine last Saturday and just finished reading it. Great job, Bill!

I must have acted too quickly. There wasn’t yet an option for a Calendar when I paid for my subscription.

Yes, you did. But I do thank you for it. I think it was a very nice gesture for Don to toss those calendars in. It was entirely WCCC’s idea to do that. I think that the calendar sales had slowed down, and calendars do get stale, so I it was a good way to put what he had left to good use.

Got mine up here in Ontario Canada Wednesday. Haven’t read much of it yet but it looks great and is a lot better quality than most magazines I’ve purchased. Thanks to everyone involved in making this a reality!
