New to this Forum

Hello Everyone-

I recently dsicovered this forum and I used to be a member on http://www.mercurycougar.net. Anyhow I have a 68 Mercury Cougar that was 1st car and fortunate enough to still own it. I’m looking forward to being a member.

Very nice.

That is a pretty car! Very very nice!

Welcome to the CCC. That is a good looking cat you’ve got there! looking forward to seeing more pictures of it. I like the wheels!

By the way, my 68 was also my first car…actually learned how to drive in it back in 1976.

Welcome it’s great to have another new member. Your Cougar looks very nice.

Nice looking Cougar…welcome to the forum.

Thank you all for the kind words. The tires are 235 60 14s and I actually ended up finding styled steel wheels since this picture was taken. This was a father/son project and I originally wanted a Mustang but then when I first saw a Cougar I fell in love with the styling. Still do!!

OK I like those wheels even better as it looks like it is the same wheels I have for mine. I went up to the 15" though.

That’s a nice looking ride. Welcome.

It may just be the better setting but I liked the look with your original rims. Tell us more about your car and please post more pictures, interior, engine etc. It looks great either way.

Your Cougar looks a lot like my 68 Cougar.

That’s a very nice Cougar you have , welcome to the madness.

I agree, these are a better looking wheel. Welcome to CCC.

Welcome aboard!

Second that on the steel styled wheels looking better. Very nice. In between you spokes it doesn’t look like argent (silver). It seems darker or is the shadow/lighting? What color is it?
Steven

Looks black to me, Just put some red line side walls on there and you have a Hot Wheel replica.

Welcome!

nice cat! If you haven’t done so, yet, at the top left of the page, there is a member location button.

It will take you to the world map.

add your pushpin, and take the time to check who’s near

enjoy!

Well it sure looks like Im out voted. Brian can you post a side shot of your 68, they sure do look a lot alike.
I am also curious about your wheel paint color. I just changed my 68 from the fugly red to as close to argent as I could get at Napa.
I am going to have the rims restored when I do the ral job, not just sprucing up. Which reminds me if anyone has a good deal on one rim I am in the market as I am going to need one for my spare.
If you have one in good shape, pm me.
