Now, I didn’t NEED a new carb, but I was being lazy and bought it. I have had poor response from the seller about info or parts for the stupid thing.
Does anyone here know anything about them? The one reply that I did get said that ’ I’ve heard people can use Holley parts and gaskets’- paraphrasing there.
The one I got was only a hundred, plus shipping, and I know the floats need adjusting.
I don’t know if I want to try and run it, or just eat the hundred and leave it on a shelf.
Thoughts about this?
Every time the Chinese copy an iconic American product they use shortcuts and do not perceive what the unintended consequences will be. This normally results in failure and disappointment of the end user.
I don’t have any experience with these and never will. Best of luck to you but prepare for the worst.
Not sure what you bought. The pics do not show a rear metering block, so there is not four corner idle. Maybe the pics are wrong. Looks like a nock off and I agree with Royce. Good luck… Hope it works or you can put it on your lawn mower…
I would pull it apart, grab a Holley float bowl and metering plate gasket for a 3310 and see how close they are.
My guess is that Holley parts will work for the most part. often the knock off stuff may have different threads (metric, different size) but they copy the rest pretty closely for ease
I hit the buy it now, before I realized what I had done. What sucks, is that I really don’t need another carb- I might try it on the car I am trying to sell, and let it go with that one after I adjust the floats.
I was just curious if anyone else had seen or heard of these. I did see another ad for one priced in British pounds, I was hoping I lucked into something better than what I appear to have bought.
Honestly, I don’t think I will end up using it. Like I said I don’t need another carb, I have plenty just sitting around. This will end up either on eBay or under the bench.
