Old 351 Cleveland hop up articles

Curious about how they modded the Cleveland in '70, or maybe you were around back then and wouldn’t mind a blast from the past.
I scanned this article for uploading so I could share it here and other places. That way the Cougar owners who aren’t familiar with the Cleveland can see what they did with it back in the olden days. Keep your eyes peeled for some crazy parts, daddyos and kitty kats.

More articles for the C to be added, along with ads for speed parts and whatnot.

An old mag article about installing adjustable valvetrain. Some neat hints in there.

I wonder what those Autolite in-line carbs with matching 351C intake would bring today?

I dunno, but I’d like to have one or two of those setups!

Really cool stuff. I love to read these old articals. Yep those inlines are very cool. I see them for sale every so often and they are expensive. Can’t remember exactly how much but enough to know I can’t afford them and to forget it. LOL.

The library section on http://www.mustangtek.com has quite a few scans of the old Ford/Shelby Muscle Part catalogs, OHO newsletters, buildup articals and TSB’s.

Very cool Andy, thanks. I will add it it my collection of Cougar and Cleveland stuff.

Why buy Webbers when you can build a whole new carb. Guess they got inspired by the 911 triple venturi carb

At least they stuck with Webbers on the Boss 302 for a while

Just pretend it has a Cleveland manifold under it

Me likey, me likey VERY much.

Thanks for posting Andy.
That’s some good reading.

That pic just makes me happy…

Just read this for the first time. I am running late this morning so I will come back to it later. Way cool though. What struck me was how wrong the author was in just the first paragraph. Stop gap Windsor? Its the way it looked back then though. Thanks Andy :beerchug:

No sweat, man. Enjoy.
