My wife’s first car was a pebble beige 1968-1/2 XR-7, not GTE.
Kind of a sleeper except for the hood scoop.
We sold it around 1988. I think it went to Illinois.
We were just reminiscing and wondered if anyone has ever seen it again.
It was a factory Cobra-Jet?

It was listed in the Omaha World Herald as a 1968 Cougar with a 428.
At the time, I wasn’t aware they offered the 428 in 1968. I went to look at the car and it was an R-code XR-7. My wife bought it for her first car. I don’t think we have the VIN anywhere. We had to sell it and a 1966 390 Cyclone when we moved away.
