Pic of 1970 convertible fuel line

I have had some metal replaced and need a couple of pics of the fuel line clips. First pic: driver side floor pan where the 4inch rubber fuel line connects to (clip) and a pic of where the line makes the 90 and runs down the body. I’m pretty sure there is a clip right there at the front just after the 90. Need to drill new holes and don’t want to drill in the wrong areas. Thank you

Thats great. In the first pic from the first 90 from the rubber connection, there is another 90 where the line turns and runs down the body. I need a picture of that area looking from the 90. It seems as if there should be a clip near that second 90 going down the body to help hold up the line. Thanks for the help.

In the second pic, there is a bracket that holds the hard brake line to the body and the flex brake line meet. Mine is missing from metal work. :frowning: It looks as though it bolts to the body. I have two holes where it should be. Does it bolt or is it welded?

So Don has a picture of the used bracket on WCCC but the years listed are 67,68,69. Is the 70 bracket different?

70 convertible fuel line pics. First pic is under drivers floor pan.

Second pic is looking towards the rear spring front mount.

These are the only three clamps under the car between the front and rear wheel wells.

Yes, at least on my Dec 69 built 70, the rear bracket where steel brake line goes to rubber hose is spot welded onto the back of the rear seat pan.

Thank you guyS for the great info./pics.The first clip between the two cars is in the same location! Calicat, how many inches from the edge of the hole for clip #1 and how many inches from the back side of the pinch weld to clip number 2 in the first pic. In the second pic, my clip location is there at the back. Now I need clip locations for the trans tunnel for the brake line.

Edge of oval hole to center of bolt for clip #1 = 2 1/4”
Back side of pinch weld to center of bolt for clip #2 = 2 5/8”

Thanks bro. This forum is definitely the Best!

Calicat can you help me with the transmission tunnel brake line clip locations? My whole floor pan was replaced with the one piece floor and of course there are no holes for the brake line clips. I bought a bolt kit from wccc and one of the brakets is zinc?? The others are black phosphate? Don’t know the deal for the zinc clip?? thank you

Sure - I need to get mine up on ramps this week anyway to check a transmission leak. I’ll take some pics of the clips while I’m under there. Mine will have undercoating on them, however.

Perfect. I greatly appreciate the help.

Here ya go!

Perfect. Thank you.

70scj4spvert, what brake line kit did you use? I bought an AMK kit (70 vert) from Wccc and it doesn’t have the two zinc clips with the pinch clips. NPD has a similar amk vert kit and it doesn’t have the two clips either.

Is this the clip we’re talking about:

Yep that’s the one. Question is, is it correct? Wccc sells it but it isn’t in the '70 convertible fuel/brake line kit they sell made from AMK kits.

Makes sense to have that style clip fastener. You don’t want a screw coming up through the carpet.
