Post up your winter pictures!

Got to 32 yesterday so the 2.5 inches of ice in Arkansas is now only 2 inches thick.

So… YOU’RE the guy who bought Fastcat’s … ummm… “project” as is evident by picture number 1 :poke:

I’ve got a 351 I should have placed in the back seat area for the mid engine mod or was it rear engine and a glass hatch back?

One year ago yesterday Sunday March 24th we got a foot of snow in STL…

Regarding the sign, LOL Grant!

Was hoping it was all over for this year (all the snow had melted) but we had about 3" of snow overnight. Happily for “domestic bliss” I have made enough progress in Cougar parts organization this winter that I was able to put the wifes car in her garage bay. She was very happy about this. :ylsuper:

Winter continues here as well as it was 10°F this moring which is 30° below normal and about an 1’ of new snow. It is really putting a damper on spring sports now. Just got a text that my sons third Lacrosse game just got cancelled due to field conditions.

I dunno…sick as we are of snow @ home we’re all looking forward to doing some skiing in VT this weekend. Thinking I might have to go visit some “clients” in CO & ID real soon as well…

Killington had great conditions 3/14-21 when we were there.

It’s snowing again today… expecting 4-7 inches.

The Soo Locks opened earlier this week, and at least one ore carrier that I saw has left the Duluth harbor. The Cason J. Callaway left port on 3/22 to open the season.

The USCGC Mackinaw (“Big Mack” (WLBB-30) came over from Michigan to help cut a path through the ice, escorted by a couple of cutters (WTGB-106 Morro Bay from Cleveland, and WTGB-101 Katmai Bay from the Soo).

Duluth’s own multi-purpose buoy tender, USCGC Alder (WLB-216) can handle most of the ice, and keeps the path open now that Big Mack has left the port.

Duluth is a cool city. ™

That’s some cool stuff! If it weren’t so cold I would have love to be there to see that!

Literally! Neat pictures Rob.

Believe it or not, that was a slogan put out by the tourism bureau. Works about as well as … “Duluth! Bring a sweater!”

It would seem that the shipping season started a little too soon. Big Mack and the light cutters mentioned above were leading a convoy of ore boats to the Soo Locks. I heard on the news tonight that the 1000 footer Presque Isle and the Morro Bay sustained damage and are returning to Duluth for repairs. Details not yet known.

My understanding is that the stockpiles of ore at the blast furnaces/steel mills are running low. Need to move some iron east, and the big lake is not cooperating.

Another snow storm predicted for Monday (8-12").

Keep it out your way. Our weather forecast is calling for it to hit 60 here on Monday. I’ll take that over snow any day of the week.

Mother nature gets the last laugh. Always. MR Eos, I hope you can send some of that ice this way in July.

I got to take the '68 out for a drive today. It was a glorious day in Missouri! I had hopes of driving it to work tomorrow, but there is that ever present chance of an early spring thunderstorms in the forecast.

Was sleeting fairly heavily when I took the pups out this morning at 5:30, snow mixed with rain on the way to work but it is supposed to reach 60 today here in NJ. Spring is coming but winter is slow to release it’s grip…

Yeah, that’s for sure. We had some sleet, freezing rain and a little snow yesterday. Only enough to cover the grass. The sun is shining today and the temp is slowly rising. Come on spring!
