I am back at my power window struggle on my 1969 XR7 and wanted to make sure my relay has not failed. I have power to the relay from the battery side of solenoid. The ground is clean for the case where the screws attach it to the inner fender. The relay clicks if i jump power to the right side where the red wire attaches. If I have power from the red wire shouldn’t I get 12 volts on the left side spade where the blue wire attaches?
Spent ages on my power windows. This thread probably has your answers.
Direct power to blue wire at relay and windows work so I believe my relay has failed.
Yes with power applied to red, you should get a click AND see power on blue. Bad relay.
Yep. Jumped to the blue lead and windows work. Getting a SPDT tomorrow.
Orig style relays are avail repop from The Bird Nest
Desolder the ground lead and open the relay up. It could be a simple as a burned contact.
