1968 Cougar from Bristol Lincoln Mercury, Bristol VA
1970 Cougar from Ray Pearman Lincoln Mercury in Huntsville, AL.
Anyone have a shot of the originals I can try to duplicate?

I gave you 34 dealers to get a little more variability. This info is extracted from the database, which relies on people’s submittals. As you’d expect, more west coast cars survive, get restored, and therefore get reported to the database. If you want actual top 20 dealers due to sales, that’s a question you’d have to ask Kevin.

I have spent years looking for one from “Kline Motors Ford, Mercury” in Everett WA for many years now. That is where Ginger was ordered. It became Brien Ford soon after and I have one from them. I would not mind finding one from Dick Anderson Ford" of Madera CA for my CJ Cougar. I have the original “Olympic Mercury” of Seattle.
I have had a couple Cougars from “Burien Motors” but no trim ring.
Twenty years in and still looking for one from Lake Motors in Salt Lake City…

Too bad with #D printing no one is making that way and then having them vacuum formed in chrome. Oh well - one of these days.

I’ve read that Jack Lord didn’t want to part with that 68 black Parklane, and resisted pressure from their L-M sponsor to drive newer models. He finally relented and got the black Marquis in 74.
I remember looking at our Cougars when brand new as a kid at Canoga Park Lincoln Mercury on Roscoe Blvd.
