Repro Dealership License Frames

I just picked up a Dick Niles Portland (Oregon) plate frame if anyone is in need of this plate frame let me know!

hello badcatt, you wouldn’t happen to be willing to sell your Olympic Mercury frame if you still have it? My 69 4 speed XR7 convertible came from there.

Ben, I’ll have to check and see if I have an extra. My 71 XR-7 sold there and has a set on it. But if I have an extra we can make a deal.

Appreciate you checking, thanks!

My original Joe Kerley plate is blue. I redid the paint a few years ago in the same color.

Marti Report shows my car was sold by L/M Los Angeles Pico Vera. Can’t find any listing for the dealer or license plate frames. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean Pico Rivera? That was L-M sales office. Check your Marti report. It might be a DSO 84 Home office reserve car. In that case it didn’t originally sell at a dealership.

I’ve looked into this different times over the years trying to find a frame for my car. I’d prefer to get a trunk plaque, but a frame may be nice to. I even reached out to a junk yard nearby the town where the dealership was to see if they had any cars in the yard that had plaques on I could get. They said they were going to check, but I never heard anything back.
The attached is the best I have come up with so far. It is from the granddaughter of the owner at the time my car was sold. She had the sticker in on a closet wall somewhere (grandparents’ house maybe?)

I forgot to add I thought about asking her if I could have the section of wall but thought that might be asking too much

Many thanks for this. You are quite correct, it is indeed Pico Rivera (Wow, how did I manage that). It is listed as DSO item #0255. This clears up what has been a mystery to me for quite a while. It means I won’t find a dealer’s plate for it - what a shame.
Thanks again, Dale.

After years of searching online. Asking multiple sites around my hometown state. Last week i thought i throw a search out for the dealership name. 1 popped up on ebay. I found this. I asked the seller where he found it. He told me at a thrift store. I bought it and im very happy with it. My search continues for a license plate frame ( original). But for now i got a remake ready to go on when the time comes

Thanks
Pat
