Anyone use these type headers on a 68 with a390?
Have to replace the exhaust and ran into these Sanderson block hugger headers for a ford FE

I’ve always wanted to put these on my truck, but did help a guy put them on his. One thing we ran into was that the windage tray and oil pan lip required some massaging of the collectors to get it to fit. It was almost like they had designed and built them without a pan on the engine. Other than that they were decent headers. We were even able to do some fairly major massaging on them and barely hurt the Jet-hot coating on them.
I don’t remember how the steering and such lines up under the FE in a Cougar so I can’t speak to how they will fit or if the collectors will be on the steering or anything.
