Just put on the new wheels and tires. WOW!\ What a difference.
Before…
After…
Nice looking phat cat ![]()
Had the annual “Hot Rod and Customs” show in town yesterday, took the kids in for a look… the Zipple Cruise (American only) group gets to park in the showgrounds … I have been rushing all week to get the car drivable… anyhow we made it. I was one of the last cars in… had a 428 powered Shelby roll in along side…
Note to self, two individual pics better than one fisheyed one!
Absolutley Killer color and Love the Magnums on it!
Thanks. I really didn’t like the color when I first got it, but it’s growing on me.
I had a 68 Mustang Fastback and 68 Coupe in Highland Green, so very similar. It is a Killer color.
I have been neglecting my ‘67 Cougar for a few months. Just got caught up on things in life, and ordered some parts for it the other night. It runs pretty good, but has some ignition issues. Those issues will be resolved shortly after Thanksgiving. It’s got a 351W with a ford 9in rear. I got big plans for it come the near year.
Cougars look great in Lime Frost!
Yes, when you see a nice, fresh, shiny coat of Lime Frost in the flesh you realize why it was such a popular color.
So… the YouTube algorithm kicked in and put forward some videos of last week’s Adelaide Auto expo with my kids and I leaving… (yeah once I saw the video the boys and I started looking).
So here are some photos of my television!
Gets one heck of a reverse rake up accelerating with 4 in the car!
Started this project two years ago. Thus far I have the underbody and engine bay completed now and fitted with 351W engine, fresh C4 transmission and new suspension steering and brakes.
Welcome to all the fun and expense! “While you are in there…” sure gets expensive. Oh well, the roads are too salty now to drive anyway. Since Greeny will be down for awhile, I would have them send the power steering control valve out to Chockostang for a rebuild:
Classic Mustang Disc Brake Conversions and Power Steering
Oh, and you should have them get pics of the engine block casting numbers while the starter is off, and the transmission VIN stamp if they pull the transmission. If you can show it’s the original drivetrain, you’ll feel better putting more money into it.
Hi!
Good luck with Greeny!
For me it was less expensive to restore my Italian car (purchase cost plus parts) than restoring my 67 Cougar (again purchase cost plus parts). I do everything myself so it’s helpful!
Great !
As long that you enjoy it !
Do it for yourself
Sweet picture and very nice blue ‘46!!
This 47’ sits with my 67….once in while, they go play together.
Thanks, the 47 is a nice looking ride. The 46 is all my own work. It’s been difficult and frustrating through most of the work. I have done my own work before I was old enough to drive and now over 60 years old. I have never had that much trouble on any of my builds in the past. I hope to get it out to the 1st show this spring.
