Hi @MikeD

That’s what i was thinking that the motor had been pulled still a nice looking Cougar. The car looked really cool sitting high like that.

I have a 69 Cougar that was a dark indigo blue metallic color, I see that you’re XR 7 appears to be the same color or very close to my Cougar what is the color on your XR7?

I have been looking to find a paint code that was similar to that color there are a lot of indigo blue metallic colors out there.

This my 69 Cougar a work in progress slowly replacing metal can’t wait to get it done but taking my time. 351W 4-V

Mine is a 68 with a 351 Windsor four barrel small block bell housing C-6 with a 9” rear end The color is Kona blue ; Ford is using on the newer Mustangs

Hi MikeD

Thanks for posting the paint color and mix code that’s awesome. I really appreciate you sharing that color I love it. I just finished putting new torque box’s in and I’m getting ready to do the floor pans.

Mine has an automatic transmission in it right now with a nine inch rear end also it is a M Code car. I’m trying to figure out out what I should look for to make it a posi track

I have a brand new top loader four speed with everything to change it over not sure what I’m going to do there. The guy I got the car from had a bunch of thing that came with the car.

Welcome to the Cougar Community.

I
I drive it whenever I can. It competes with my Cobra replica and my F Type R Jag. I’d say this gets as many comments as the others.

Very Nice! Bet it’s a lot of fun with the four speed.

Stunning Cougar - let me know if it ever has cubs  Deck lid spoiler got removed?

Yes, I believe spoiler removed a few years ago. I’ll find appropriate 5/16” rubber plugs/grommets for now to fill holes.

Last night, resting, after her first run of the year

Pretty much set up at our local World of Wheels type show here on the North Coast. Show goes this weekend. Still have a few more items to place in the display.

Looks great! The shaved door handles and lack of emblems really highlight how great the lines of the first gen Cougars are.

Also love the deep dish rims - reminds me of my favorite Hot Wheels version of the Cougar.

Well that’s one way to keep someone from door dinging! Great idea
