Steering issues after replacing hoses and control valve

I just thought I was finished with replacing my power steering control valve and all the hoses. I started the car on jackstands and checked for leaks and fixed a minor leak on the high pressure hose. We turned left and right several times and thought we had no issues. When I dropped the car to the ground, and started, the steering wheel jerks left and right. I might have broken a wrist if I had held the wheel. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

If it’s what it normally causes that it should have done that right away. If the two short hoses are reversed from the control valve to the ram it will just cycle back and forth. It can cause injuries. If you can find a diagram check it closely with how you have yours done.

Very common. You just need to swap positions of the hoses from the control valve to the steering ram to correct this.
