It looks like the WCC repop valve covers need a hokey looking spacer to make them work with my combination of roller rockers and a stud girdle and every “tall” SBF valve cover I can find is way too modern looking for my taste, so…
Does anyone know of any “tall” vintage looking finned aluminum valve covers for a 351W?
There is one set of decent looking valve covers out there with sort of a pentroof FE shape but they have “427” on them, so those won’t work for my 408.
Does anyone know how tall the old Mickey Thompson valve covers are?
Anybody have any nice valve covers to sell? PM me.
Are you completely down on using the billet spacers that go under the repops? They look good on the car, and I think keep the stealth look.

A buddy of mine has a set of H/M tall S/B valve covers on his built 351. The pictures at H/Ms web site don’t show how tall they are. But I thing they will work.
Heres a link. http://www.holmanmoody.com/Vcovers1.html
badcatt,
Those H-M covers look cool, but I’m afraid they are going to be too short. Definitely worth call about. Thanks for the lead.

I don’t like the look of the spacers or the price. Plus they give an additional joint to leak oil on the headers. I’d really prefer to find some good looking taller covers. I don’t need them right now but I will have to have some before November so they can finish my engine.
I think if you want to go retro, the Offenhauser covers are a good choice. What did you decide?
Still haven’t found a decent looking tall cover. Still trying to avoid using spacers. I’m starting to think about trying to fab a set of tall sheet metal covers from a set of original stock “Power by Ford” valve covers. Anyone got a pair they want to sell cheap?
