What is the best way to lower the rear?

Some of you remember that I did the Shelby Drop and 1" lower coils on and I was pretty happy with the result… until now. I thought being bounced around on the tow truck would have settled her in enough, but I was wrong. I’ve only had her on the road for a couple of months now and put about 200 miles on the odometer.

Now the front has settled in which gave it a nice tucked in look for the front tires but the rear is now an inch higher.

I haven’t done a thing with the rear so I was wondering what’s the best course of action.
She currently is riding on the original springs with Monroe shocks. I would rather not use the set of air shocks that came with the car.

Basically 2 ways. purchase new springs, or a lowering blocks installed between springs & axle mount.
Most are trying to raise the rear by shackles or springs…

Typically the rear springs can be re - arched to whatever ride height is desired cheaper than replacement springs and better too.

This is how I lowered mine about an inch by re-arching.

take the springs to a spring shop and specify how much lower you want them.

Or a block but I would not recommend more then 1 to 1.5". also you will to fabricate your own to work with the spring mounting the cougar uses. Or convert over to the conventional mustang setup for spring mounting.
